Dr. Phil Stacey started Saanichton Village Veterinary Hospital in 2013. He graduated from the University of Saskatchewan in 1995. His joy is animals and his passion is medicine.
Dr. Angela Frost has been the co-owner of the practice since 2013. She supports us with her many skills in all aspects of the hospital. Her main interest is dentistry and rescue work.
Dr. Meg Lainson has been practicing veterinary care on the penninsula since 2006 and assists in our general practice. In her off time she enjoys scent training with her dog, Lynyrd, agility training with Mira and taiko drumming in her spare time.
Carolyn has been in the veterinary industry for almost 25 years working in mixed practice and emergency. She has become an indispensable member throughout the clinic. You can find her in reception or treatment helping clients or training.
In her spare time she loves hiking with her dogs, gardening and playing with horses.
You can find Bryn behind the reception counter or busy in the office keeping the business side of things organized! When she's not here you can find her gardening, crafting or spending time with her adorable cockapoo Finn and her two cats Rue and Beau.
Zoe joined the team as a receptionist in 2021. Since then she has moved into the position of Inventory/Logistics Manager where she handles inventory, myVETstore, service pricing, updates to the hospitals software, and support in reception. Maya is her beautiful kitty she spends her down time with.
Angelica has been working in the veterinary industry for approximately 6 years. She is knowledgeable, caring, loyal and loves all animals big and small. In her spare time she likes going to the beach, hiking and hanging out with her three cats, Romeo, Theodore and Sebastian.
Laura was born and raised on Vancouver Island and joined our team in 2020. She has a tremendous work ethic, a great sense of humor and has been a fabulous addition to the practice. In her spare time she enjoys playing baseball and fishing!
April knocked on our door when she was 13 yrs old during our grand opening with a hopeful look and a resume. She was asked to return when she turned 14. Which she did because she's still here after 9 years and working towards becoming a veterinarian.
Rose moved to Vancouver Island from Calgary about 3 years ago. Since then she has been loving the island life exploring with her best canine friend, Louis. When she's not in the back assisting the Doctors you can find her at the beach either reading or scuba diving! Rose has a kind and gentle touch with the patient's and is a wonderful asset to the team.
Katie has many responsibilities as an exam room assistant. She supports the Drs, reception and the treatment area and keeps the flow of the clinic running smoothly. Her friendly nature keeps our clients and patients at ease. She started off with her One-eyed Ginger cat, Toby, and has now grown her fur family into a family of four with Sadie, Kelso and Wally.
Victoria has been working in the veterinary industry as a vet assistant since 2020. In her spare time she loves to hike with her dog Nova and snuggle with her two kitties Jiggy and Mimi. You may meet Victoria in the exam room attaining patient history for your veterinarian. We think you will enjoy her cheerful, friendly manner!
Jordan has lived in 5 countries and is originally from England. She always greets our client's with a cheerful smile and kind ways. If she's not busy multitasking in reception you can always find her assisting Doctors and patients in treatment. Her heart belongs to her two cats Harry and Desmond.
